Agreement

By using IP-FD.net ("the service"), the website or the API, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

IP-FD.net provides information about IP addresses, AS numbers and networks, a JSON API and a set of network tools. The service is offered free of charge, as it is and as available, without guarantees of uptime or accuracy.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your password, recovery codes and API keys secret and for everything done with your account. Use accurate details when you register. We recommend turning on two-factor authentication. One person or organisation may hold more than one account only with our permission.

Acceptable use

You may not:

  • use the service for anything unlawful, or to harass, stalk or harm others;
  • try to get around rate limits, quotas or bans, for example by rotating keys or addresses;
  • copy the database by scraping pages or the API beyond normal use;
  • use monitors or tools to scan, attack or overload systems you do not operate;
  • try to access accounts, data or systems that are not yours, or interfere with the service.

API

Free use of the API is subject to the rate limits and daily quotas shown in the documentation and in your dashboard. We may change limits, block keys that are abused and introduce paid plans for higher volumes. Contact us if you need more than the free limits allow.

Data accuracy

Registration and routing data comes from the regional internet registries and the RIPE NCC. Locations are estimates. Every lookup shows its source and confidence, but no IP location is exact. Do not rely on the data alone for decisions with legal, financial or safety consequences.

Intellectual property

The website design, code and our own content belong to IP-FD.net. Registry data remains subject to the terms of the registry that publishes it. City names are from GeoNames under CC BY 4.0.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data that result from using or not being able to use the service.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts and block addresses that break these terms or put the service at risk. You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
